San Antone--Friday

We drove to San Antonio with Miss Charmin Garmin in charge and no missteps to visit my brother Herb and his family. On the way we stopped for lunch in Gruene (pronounced "Green") for lunch at the Gristmill, a Texan type of place in that it is truly mammoth. After lunch we did some antique shopping at the large store across the road. A movie poster at the front of the store caught my eye. A replica of the large poster for a Roy Rogers/Dale Evans movie was behind the counter with a sign stating that the original was in the back room. More about that poster later.
In the evening we dined at a charming little Greek restaurant close to Nancy's workplace. Herb and Nancy spent five years of their military life in Crete and they assured us that this food was very authentic. Never mind the authenticity, when the belly dancers came out to perform we were sold!
