Quinn was running a little fever on Tuesday so I came over to stay with him while Laura and Ken took Campbell to his high school information night. Q and I vegetated in front of the tv, me in the easy chair and Q in his well-padded box. His idea.
Jim, Laura, and I attended Campbell's geography bee at the middle school on Thursday. The preliminary test had been given to over 1000 students and C had scored in the top TEN!!!!! The downside of that was that the next level was oral and in front of a cafeteria full of peers not to mention parents/grandparents. C had some tough questions; the winner from the previous two years prevailed. We are proud of him for making it to these finals, especially considering that he hasn't had a geography class yet (next year), and Texas schools seem to spend an inordinate time on Texas history and forget about the rest of the USA or world.
