Now You See It.

The last vestige of the moving process, the pod, long emptied, was taken away today. After a day of relaxation yesterday (Laura's massage, my manicure, a little SteinMart shopping), we revved it up to . . . a little more shopping today! If you look closely at Laura's shopping cart, you will see that it is mostly occupied by Ellie's new luxury bed.
Tonight we ate at a classic Austin place, Lucy's Fried Chicken. Cool and oh so delicious as well as Southern. On our way home we spotted a small herd of deer in the neighborhood. Reminds us of home!
Only one more day here until we head east to the other coast of our journey. We will miss our beautiful Erickson family. It has been an experience to participate in one of their moves (13 in 19 years?). I wish that I could have been of more help in the earlier ones. I told Laura that she could return the favor by helping us move into the nursing home before too long. She guffawed that but sometimes there is a kernel of truth in jokes.
