Yesterday we managed to get ourselves out of that lovely king-sized bed and down to the beach. Jim was hunting for fossil sharks' teeth and I was hunting for photos. It was a cool morning with fog banks hanging on both the north and south horizon. As they each moved in toward us, they picked up the soft pastel colors of the rainbow. Every time I turned away from one side, I would turn back to a different palette. A few other teeth hunters were on the beach. Two little dogs came romping down by themselves, barked at us a little bit (ankle-biters?) and did their business. Ah, Manasota Beach and the Pearl Beach Inn, what a perfectly lovely place!
Little did we know that we were packing up and heading into quite a different scenario.
