Hanging Out with Our Rapid City Neighbors

On Monday we cleaned up and collected our car just in time to drive back to Alabama. Our next door neighbors the Vollmers, along with their friends the Larsons, spend the month of February in Gulf Shores, Alabama, which is about 15 miles from us. We met and had lunch at a great space called The Hangout. Although it was a cool rainy day, we were able to sit out in an open covered patio to enjoy lunch. We are meeting there again on Thursday to have Valentine's lunch together. This is the second time we have met up with Deanna and Gary on this trip; sometimes we go for months in Rapid City without seeing each other, and we usually end up visiting when we are each working outside on our lawns. How ironic that we get to really sit down and chat when we are on vacation!
