Sunset Cliffs

Where should we go off the beaten path? That was our question for the bartender at our local saloon/restaurant. He recommended Sunset Cliffs which happens to be on the way to the Point Loma Lighthouse, another place we wanted to visit.
At Point Loma I had a slight heart attack when my phone said ,"Welcome to Mexico!" I will have to have a talk with Verizon if I find that I was charged for data usage on an international scale. A reenactment of a WWII shore defense encampment proved quite interesting.
On our way back to Chula Vista, we stopped and ate lunch at a tiny Farmers' Market. No baby octopus for me, thank you.
