Coronado revisited.
One of the loveliest parts of San Diego is Coronado Island. On Tuesday we rented a car for a week (horrors, a Chrysler) and drove right over. Our favorite little boutique hotel from 20 years ago has descended into genteel poverty but everything else was quaintly upscale. The beach was still peachy and is still anchored by the magnificent Hotel del Coronado.
