While I was in Albuquerque (hereafter shortened to ABQ), Jim proceeded with our plans to cross the Florida mainland and visit my cousins Ed and Sharon St. Onge in Barefoot Bay. We had lined up a campground in Sebastian which was about ten miles away from BB. Sharon cooked up some delicious meals; Jim was one happy camper! I am so disappointed that I missed seeing them.
In ABQ I found Tamara laid low with vertigo. I had picked up some Dramamine in the airport so we started with that. The next day I went to the grocery store for food and medicine. Getting her going on a regular dose of anti-nausea, anti-dizziness stuff helped her to focus and to start to raise her head. By the time I left yesterday (Wednesday), she was improving and, we hope, on the way to recovery. What a wicked round that was. My friend Lynne in New Zealand wrote to me saying that she had also had vertigo and sympathized because it was horrible.
Since Tamara forbade my publishing the before and after photos that I took of her for her dad, I can only post a few landscape and animal pictures from my trip. ABQ is the land of sand-brown views, sea-blue skies, deranged drivers, and monster speed bumps in my experience of this trip. I think the last two are directly related but I'm not sure which is the cause and which is the effect.
